La Marina is the name of the district in Alicante province, running from the coast to the interior.

It contains a complex series of sierras and valleys, there are many small towns in this district , where mountain agriculture has been dabted to the lie of the land.

Jalón is the main town in the valley, with a noteworthy 18th-c palace and a renovated church from 1831. This village is known for its traditional artisan meat products and its winegrowing activities.
